Lorna McNeil (Mrs Johnstone)
Lorna has been involved with local theatre for the
past 10 years, most recently playing 3 minor
characters in Night of Shooting Stars, and Little
Sally in Urinetown, the Musical. Last year she took
on Lucille Ball in Brian March's one-act, Lucy and
Tarzan. With NTG, she has played major roles in
Accomplice, The Affections of May and Much Ado About
Nothing. When not on stage, she likes to design and
build costumes for NTG (winning a festival award for
Fortinbras), for Bard to Broadway, Schmooze (Rocky
Horror Show) and UBetcha! (Gondoliers). As a mother,
playing Mrs. Johnstone has been an amazing,
heart-wrenching experience. |

Nick Murphy (Mickey Johnstone)Nick has been
involved in community and school theatre for the
past six years and during that time has managed to
dedicate a large part of his life to over 25 shows,
both on stage and backstage. Nick last appeared in
the LSLT production of The Long, the Short, and the
Tall which won best production in this year's South
Island Zone festival. |

Geoff Moddle (Edward Lyons)Geoff has been
involved in theatre for more than half of his life,
first appearing in the Arts Alive production of
Sleeping Beauty, and hardly stopping since. He has
been in a number of other Arts Alive shows, as well
as UBetcha!'s The Gondoliers, Bard to Broadway's
Honk Jr. and South Pacific, and playing the parts of
Malvolio in Shakespeare's The Twelfth Night, and
Reverend Parris in Arthur Miller's The Crucible at
MalU, not to mention a chorus role in NTG's
pantomime, Robinson Crusoe. Watch for Geoff at Lady
Smith's Little Theatre in November in Of the Fields,
Lately. |

Whitney Benson (Linda)
Whitney was last seen onstage as Princess Bobastasia
in last year's panto.
She is pursuing a career on stage and on screen and
is involved with Malaspina's theatre program and
Spotlight Academy. Whitney is happy to be on stage
for the third time with her Auntie Lisa. |

Bill Young (Narrator)
Bill is pleased to be back in the acting mode again.
After many years in theatre in Medicine Hat,
Alberta, and with various choirs, including the
Medicine hat Oratory Choir, Bill and his wife moved
to the Island in May 2005. He got involved with
Ladysmith Little Theatre last fall as Dr. Montague
in their production of The Haunting of Hill House.
This is his first time with NTG and he is hoping for
a long association with the talented people in this
group. |

Brian March (Mr. Lyons)
Brian has enjoyed working with many fine groups in
the last 5 years including NTG, YPDG, Western Edge
and LSLT. Various functions included acting,
directing and producing. He thanks the wonderful
cast and crew who have helped him through the
exhilarating process of musical theatre.
Special thanks to Barbara for her constant support
and understanding. |

Joy Andrews (Mrs. Lyons)
Joy has been active in community theatre for more
than ten years. She took acting in high school and
returned to it while living in Prince Rupert in
1994. She continued her participation in Victoria
playing the doctor in I Never Sang for My Father.
She has played in eight NTG productions, most
recently as Sybil Brody in Deadly Affairs last
spring. She won Best Supporting Actor at the 2004
zone festival for her role in Death and God. |

Alan Watt (Sammy)
This is Alan's debut with NTG and of the six shows
he has done he has found this one to be the most
challenging and the most fun. Previous work has been
with YPDG and LSLT including Christmas pantomimes,
Coarse Acting Show, See How They Run, and backstage
work. When not performing with talented local
people, Alan can be found working at the Ladysmith
credit union and raising two sons. He will next be
seen in Yellow Point Drama Group's Dracula. |

Frannie Reside (Miss Jones)
This is Frannie's first year performing with the
Nanaimo Theatre Group. For the past five years, she
has performed with the Arts Alive summer theatre
productions including playing the role of Tzeital in
Fiddler on the Roof.
She has also performed in Cinderella and My Fair
Lady at Dover Bay Secondary. Frannie's interests
have also moved backstage where she was in charge of
costumes for Charlie And the Chocolate Factory and
just recently, Arts Alive's production of A Funny
Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.
Frannie is excited to be starting her first year at
Malaspina in the Stagecraft Theatre program in the
fall of 2007. |

Brenda Sutherland (chorus)Brenda is honoured
to be donning pigtails and bright red leotards for
this incredible show. She has been immersed in music
most of her life. She taught music in the Nanaimo
School district for many years and enjoyed working
with a variety of children's choirs and musical
productions. Brenda was involved in musical theatre
years ago with NTG and has just recently come back
on the scene playing a Contadina in Gilbert and
Sullivan's The Gondoliers. She is thrilled to be a
part of Blood Brothers and to be working with such
an enthusiastic and supportive cast and crew.
|

Jonee Janolino (chorus)
Jonee has been in many productions during his four
seasons with NTG including Gonzo, Accomplice and How
the Other Half Loves. At the South Island Zone
Festival this spring Jonee won Best Supporting Actor
for his role as the Japanese prisoner in The Long,
the Short and the Tall with Lady Smith's Little
Theatre. He also received an Honourable Mention for
the same role at Mainstage 2007. |

this spring in the Lady Smith's Little Theatre's The
Long, the Short, and the Tall, which won the South
Island Zone Festival and went on to Mainstage. He
also performed in NTG's Evening of One Acts this
past June. Paul has enjoyed the added challenge of
singing and dancing as well as acting and plans to
continue his theatre involvement. |
