Cast of
Cash On Delivery
Crew of Cash on Delivery |

Gordon McInnis Eric Swan
Despite a long history of participation in community
theatre productions this is Gord's acting debut in
an English farce. He maintains it has been a
wonderful experience in large part because of the
terrific direction from Peggy as well as the support
and good humour of the whole cast during rehearsals.
The experience has shed new light on the two great
English traditions of farce and pubbing. |

Moira Steele Linda SwanLast seen on
NTG's stage as Barbara in Deadly Affairs, Moira is a
self confessed 'farce' junkie and she is delighted
to be once again treading the boards with her old
farce mates and some great new faces.
Although this will be Moira's 9th production with
NTG, she says the rehearsals are always fun and the
experience remains fresh. |

Darran Karpuik Norman McDonaldAfter
ten years with the Far Off Broadway theatre company
in Powell River then seven years with Portal Players
in Port Alberni life has brought Darren to Nanaimo
where he is excited at the chance to be playing with
NTG.
Although he has directed one production, Slow
Dancing by Shelly Picard, acting is his forte'. Most
recent productions include roles such as Paul in
Misery, Alex in Rehearsal for Murder and Dr.
Einstein in Arsenic and Old Lace. In past years he
has also been seen in musicals where he played
Petruchio in Kiss Me Kate, the Jester in Once Upon A
Mattress and Lazar Wolfe in Fiddler on the Roof.
Cash on Delivery brings him back to the genre he
enjoys most ( but only if you laugh! ). Memorable
farce productions are Move Over Mrs. Markham in
which he played Philip and Rumors in which he played
Ken..." Me Muvah should be Proud!" |

George Compton Mr. Jenkins
George caught the theatre bug in grade six and says
he has been performing on and off stage ever since.
His first role with Nananimo Theatre Group was that
of Mortimer Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace back in
1984. Last summer during Bedazzled, an evening of
one act plays, George played the part of Tony, a
long suffering Audiologist in Customer Relations. He
enjoys all aspects of theatre especially the
camaraderie among all the cast and crew. |

Roger Etherton Uncle George
Roger is "dead" happy to be with the old and new
farce faces having last played a sometimes "dead"
sometimes not Arthur Bottomly in the last NTG farce
Deadly Affairs. Roger has a stong history in the
genre of farce having appeared in such shows as, Not
Now Darling, One For The Pot, Run For Your Wife and
It Runs In The Family. Roger brings a farcical sense
of humour to the production both in and out of
character, which makes rehearsal and show prep even
more fun for the cast. Roger's theatre career spans
roughly 30 years and shows no sign of slowing
down...thank goodness. |

Barb Mowbray Sally Chessington
Barb joined NTG in 1974 when Gordon Kirby held
auditions for The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man in the
Moon Marigolds. Since then, Barb has been involved
both on stage and behind the scenes in numerous
productions. She was seen most recently as Benjamin
Braddock's mother in NTG's production of The
Graduate. Barb is delighted to be a part of this
delicious farce and is looking forward to all the
enjoyment the audience can expect. |

Jolyon Brown Doctor Chapman
Jolyon is delighted to be back on the NTG stage with
several other cast members from Fortinbras. Last
seen as a "dead" king, he is now pleased to be an
"alive" if hopelessly confused doctor. As a sideline
he has designed the set for Cash On Delivery, his
first at the Bailey since the one he designed for
the panto, Dick Whittington, a few years ago.
However, Jolyon has kept his hand in with two set
designs at Lady Smith's Little Theatre for The
Haunting of Hill House and a tin and bamboo hut for
The long, The Short and The Tall. |

Mel Frost Mr. Forbright
Mel is happy to be backwith NTG for the third time
to join the cast of Cash On Delivery. His two
previous appearances were in Major Barbara and Death
of God. He also enjoys working with other theatre
companies on the Island such as Echo Players in
Qualicum Beach and the Yellow Point Drama Group in
Cedar.
Mel says he is delighted to be with such a great
troupe doing such an hilarious farce and hopes all
the audiences have as much fun watching as the cast
has had in preparing and
presenting the play. |

Inge Cathers Ms Cowper
Inge is delighted to give her first performance on
the stage at the Bailey Theatre for NTG as Ms
Cowper. Previous performances with other theatre
groups include Cora in Bad Year for Tomatoes, Lady
Macbeth in The Black Bonspeil of Wullie McCrimmon,
Mrs. White in The Man in the Bowler Hat, Mother in
Monkey's Paw and Mrs. Rogers in Ten Little Indians.
She has appeared in independent films such as, Key
Eye the Movie and Making Kids Safe produced by Robin
Webb; The Decision, produced by Ralph Shorter and
Call Before You Dig produced by Lorne Kraft. Inge
has also worked in Radio Plays and several Murder
Mystery Dinner Theatres around the island including
the huge benefit My Big Fat Nanaimo Wedding as
Mother of the bride. |

Kyla Perry Miss DixonKyla has been an
active member of NTG since moving to Nanaimo in
2005. She was the recipient of the Best Actress
award at the NIZ Festival in 2006 for her role as
Sarah in the play Trying. Kyla was last seen this
past holiday season as Peter in the 2007 pantomime
Peter and the Wolf. Kyla is ever grateful for the
love and support of her family and friends.
